Veneering |
|
The art of slicing and preparing veneers goes back a long way. Early pieces of furniture were veneered using saw cut veneers which were quite thick, similar to our modern day constructional veneers about 3mm, today most of the veneers (although not all) are cut with a blade to about 0.6mm.
The old skills are alive today at Holloway Doors & Panels. We still produce the complicated patterns and inlays that came out of the East End of London before the war.
We are very fortunate to have two presses and the capacity for larger pieces of work. |

Laminating |
|
Anything that we can veneer we can also laminate with a product of your choice.
Laminated doors are a popular choice for schools, hotels or hospitals. We are specialized in producing high spec Acrovyn doors.
We also produce laminated panels for a number of different applications including toilets and washrooms.
All joinery components, doors, work surfaces are available in a wide range of hard wearing laminate finishes. Tell us what you want and we can provide it.

Woodworking |

Here at Holloway, we are equiped with modern wood-working equipment that is capable of any job that may be required.
All our groundworks are pre-cut on a CNC saw.
Edges can be lipped with any solid wood or laminate.
Panels and doors can be calibrated with one of our two sanders.
Spindle work to achieve various moulding designs. |

Machining |

We are proud of our two modern CNC woodworking machines, both of which are capable of machining virtually anything you can possibly want.
Available: Apertures of any size and shape, full glazing service in-house. Bespoke panel shapes. Grooving for intumescent strips. Machining for door furniture. We also use our CNC to plane the edges of our products, providing a clean professional finish.
Just a few of the things we are capable of with the investment of our new CNC is sign writing and 3D carving from photographs and artwork.
We have even made very recognisable sculpted heads from photographs. |

Finishing |

All our products are fine sanded prior to priming, polishing or left in the white.
Our large spray booth is available to finish all your products to high standard.
Various products are available from standard matt or satin to more high tech fireproof products.
